Do you want to hear about vandals-turned-artists? Learners gained a purpose for life as they painted over a school wall that had been vandalized (by them!) and transformed it into strong messages and images of hope. The school loves the new mural! T1L1 Workshops – an exciting development!

Celebrate Life South Africa (CLSA) also partners with other organisations who work with youth. CLSA delivers workshops, especially at youth camps, where the Teach One to Lead One® (T1L1) programme is condensed and delivered in an exciting and meaningful way. Included in this dynamic workshop is the participation of former T1L1 students, who help the facilitators deliver the T1L1 programme. This brings the concept of T1L1 to life, in that students whose lives have been transformed through T1L1 are now leading others. This is T1L1 in action!

Recently we have partnered with Anex CDW (Activists Networking against the Exploitation of Child Domestic Workers), that specializes in working with youth from the rural communities in the Western Cape. The T1L1 workshops have proven to be a huge success; we are scheduled to deliver T1L1 workshops for their upcoming camps. Students and coordinators alike have been amazed about the impact that T1L1 has had on the youth. Former T1L1 students have also been impacted by this experience as it gives them an opportunity to be leaders and mentors – impacting the lives of their peers in a positive way.
